Zimbabwe suffer heartbreaking defeat as Bangladesh wins thriller:

Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first against Zimbabwe. Soumya Sarkar and Najmul Hossain Shanto opened the innings for Bangladesh, Soumya Sarkar got out on Muzarabani’s delivery and Zimbabwe got an early wicket.

Liton Das also went back to the pavilion after being dismissed cheaply by Muzarabani in the last over of the Power play. A crucial 53 runs partnership was established between Shanto and Shakib but Williams got Shakib and Muzarabani took an outstanding catch.

Najmul Hossain was playing well but Sikandar Raza took his important wicket and sent him to the Pavilion.

Najmul Hossain Shanto played a wonderful knock of 71 runs on 55 balls with 7 four and 1 six. Zimbabwe needed 151 runs to win the match against Bangladesh.Taskin Ahmed dismissed openers of Zimbabwe, Madhvere and Craig Ervine in his first two overs giving Bangladesh a perfect start. Mustafizur Rahman got the wicket of Milton Shumba, and in the same over he dismissed Sikander Raza on a golden duck, and Bangladesh got 4 wickets in power play.

Taskin Ahmed got his third wicket as he sent Chakabva to the pavilion and Zimbabwe were 132/6.

Sean Williams was taking Zimbabwe, towards the win but there was a twist as Shakib ul Hassan ran him out in the 19th over,he scored 64 runs on 42 balls with 8 fours.

With 16 runs needed in the last over, Mosaddek got the wicket of Evans on the second ball of the over. Ngarava hit 2 back-to-back boundaries 1 four and 1 six but on the next ball, Mosaddek got his wicket. 5 runs were needed on the last ball and Zimbabwe failed to do it as Muzarabani was stumped. However the drams didn’t end there as while Bangladesh was celebrating the third umpire termed it a no ball as Nurul Hasan collected the ball in front of the stumps and as per the law wicket keeper has to collect the ball behind the stumps.  Zimbabwe needed 4 to win on the last ball and it was a dot ball and Bangladesh won by 3 runs.

Taskin Ahmed was named Player of the match he took 3 wickets in 4 overs and helped Bangladesh to win.
