South Africa’s 5 Wicket victory over India Kills the hopes of Pakistan:
In another important match of Group B between India vs South Africa, India won the toss and decided to bat first.
Rohit And KL Rahul opened the innings for India against Dangerous South African Pace Bowling at Perth. Lungi Ngidi sent Rohit Sharma to the pavilion on a Short ball. In the Same over KL Rahul was Dismissed by him. It was a perfect start for South Africa. India were 26/2.
Hopes were high for Virat Kohli due to his good form but in front of Lungi Ngidi’s exceptional bowling, nothing worked for India as Virat Kohli was dismissed by Ngidi.
Hardik Pandya handled the pressure well against Pakistan but this time Short ball from Ngidi dismissed him as Rabada took a superb catch at the fine leg. India were at 49/5.
All eyes were on Suryakumar Yadav that how he carries his team in difficult situation. He shared a Significant Partnership with Dinesh Kartik of 52 runs but Dinesh contributed only 6 runs in this Partnership.
Dinesh Kartik was struggling against South Africa. Parnell got his wicket, he scored 6 runs on 15 balls. Parnell also took Ashwin’s Wicket and Created more pressure on India.
SuryaKumar Yadav played Magnificent innings for his team, he handled the situation very well and scored 68 runs on 40 balls with 6 fours and 3 sixes. He proved once again that no one is better than him currently in the shortest format.
India managed to score 130 runs and South Africa needed 131 to win.Lungi Ngidi was brilliant today as he took four wickets in four overs with an economy of 7.25. Parnell also did well with bowling today as he took 3 wickets in four overs.
De Kock and Bavuma opened the innings for South Africa, but Young Arshdeep Singh had some other plans as he dismissed De Kock and Last match Centurion Rilee Rossouw in his first over. South Africa were at 3/2.
South African Captain Temba Bavuma was dismissed by Shami and Bavuma walked back for 10 off 15.
Markram and Miller’s Partnership helped South Africa to win the game. Their partnership was of 76 runs on 60 balls. Hardik Pandya dismissed Markram in 16th over, he scored 52 runs on 40 balls. Stubbs was then dismissed by Ashwin but Dropped catches and missed run-out opportunities cost India the match.
David Miller remained unbeaten as he played a wonderful knock of 55 runs on 45 balls and finished the game. South Africa won the match by 5 wickets.
The win has further curtailed the chances of Pakistan going into the semi finals now. They heavily rely on some major upsets to happen and only then they can make it to the next stage.
