Mohammad Rizwan Smashes Double Century on Return to First-Class Cricket: Mohammad Rizwan returned to first-class cricket with a bang against Faisalabad Region. Representing Peshawar Blues, the veteran wicketkeeper-batter scored a double hundred off 252 balls and remained not out when the innings was declared. His innings included 35 fours and a six.
This was quite a comeback for Rizwan, who had been sidelined from all forms of cricket while being investigated by the NCCIA. However, he remained patient, made his return, and scored a double ton to prove that he still has potential in red-ball cricket.
Rizwan played his last Test against England in August 2026. After that, he was dropped from the side, and an inquiry was started against him. He then returned as captain of SNGPL in October 2026 in the President’s Trophy Grade I, where he scored 64 in the first innings and 27 in the second.
After that, he was named captain of Peshawar Region Blues. In the first game of the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy Gold, he smashed a double hundred in the first innings of the season against Faisalabad Region. Peshawar Region Blues ended their innings at 503/4 and declared. Faisalabad ended Day 2 on 118/2.
