Afghanistan Becomes The First Team To Qualify For Super 4 Stage:

Afghanistan’s bowling inspires them to a big victory over Bangladesh and they qualified for the Super 4 stage of Asia Cup 2022.

The third match of the Asia Cup took place between Bangladesh and Afghanistan at Sharjah Cricket Stadium,UAE. Bangladesh won the toss and decided to bat first.

The openers Muhmmad Naim and Anamul Haque could not stand long as Bangladesh lost their first wicket on 10 runs.

Outstanding bowling was seen from Afghanistan’s end by Mujeeb ur Rehman(3-9)who managed to destroy the batting line of Bangladesh. Even their captain Shakib also couldn’t save them. The whole batting line struggled and further, no batsman was able to go above 20. After 11 overs Bangladesh was at 58/5. Like their first match Afghanistan’s bowling attack was also seen doing plenty of damage today, Mujeeb and Rashid Khan, both were able to take 3 wickets each.

Bangladesh was only able to score 127 on 7 wickets thanks to a sensible innings played by Mosaddek who managed to score 48 runs. Mahmudullah scored 25 runs, the rest of the team was unable to score properly. No other bowler was able to take wicket other than Mujeeb and Rashid.

Afghanistan managed to chase the total in 18.3 overs with the loss of only 3 wickets. Ibrahim managed to contribute 42 runs where as Najibullah managed to contribute 43 runs. Bangladesh bowlers only managed to take 3 wickets.
