Which Team has strongest opening pair in World T20 2022? In Depth Analysis:

Pakistan: India:England:Australia:South Africa:Afghanistan:West Indies:

The upcoming edition of the T20 World Cup is about to begin. The mega event will be staged in Australia and the host side will start their campaign as title defenders. Before the T20 World Cup begins, let’s have a look at the opening pairs of Pakistan, India, England, Australia, South Africa, West Indies, and Afghanistan.

Pakistan:

Pakistan has one of the dependable opening duos of late. Both Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam have scored more runs as an opening duo than any of the pair in the T20Is. Babar and Rizwan are in great form and clearly, it will boost the morale of the Pakistan team as they are heading into the all-important T20 World Cup.

India:

India’s opening pair KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma are counted as one of the most dangerous pairs in T20I cricket right now. In recent outings, KL has scratched out some decent runs to his name and arguably it’s a gleeful sign for the Indian team. KL’s compatriot Rohit also had some decent outings and the skipper of India holds the ability to deliver in mega tournaments.

England:

The return of Alex Hales has made their opening pair a devastating one. Jos Buttler and Alex Hales both are in great form as they are busy piling up runs at a staggering strike rate. Jos can punish any sort of bowling lineup on his day and Alex also holds the ability to emulate his skipper’s class.

Australia:

The defending champions will kick start their campaign as uncertain of their preferred opening duo. During their recent series against India, Cameron Green opened for Australia.Nevertheless, Aaron Finch always has been their opening pairing alongside David Warner. The left-handed batsman is in some form but the form of Finch is a big concern for the reigning champions.

South Africa:

South Africa hasn’t a dependable or threatening opening duo as Temba Bavuma is yet to find his groove as he is returning to the cricket field after elbow surgery. Nevertheless, Quinton de Kock holds the ability to give a quickfire start to his side. The wicket-keeper batter is a great striker of the ball and has a strike rate of 134.

Afghanistan:

As of now, Afghanistan has settled their opening pair debate in the names of Hazratullah Zazai and Rahmanullah Gurbaz. The young duo has racked up some massive partnerships and some of them came in the recently-concluded Asia Cup. Gurbaz has been in great touch of late and surely will be one of the key players for his side.

West Indies:

West Indies will probably begin their campaign with Brandon King and Kyle Mayers as their opening pairs. King has this ability to hit from the get-go and has been in great form recently. Mayers, however, will hope to find his groove before the World Cup begins.
