Mohammad Farooq scored an unbeaten century for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa U19 Blues against Balochistan U19 Blues on the second day of the fourth round match of the National U19 Championship on Tuesday.

Pool A fixtures:

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa U19 Blues resumed their first innings at the Rashid Latif Cricket Academy on the overnight score of 58 for 3 in 10 overs and scored 170 for four in 36 overs. Mohammad Farooq, who resumed his innings on 43, returned unbeaten with 111 off 110 balls, with 16 fours and one six. He added an unbroken 83-run partnership with Haseeb Khan for the fifth wicket (28, 69b).

Adnan Iqbal picked four wickets for the Balochistan U19 Blues.

At the NBP Sports Complex, the Northern U19 Blues continued their first innings at 54 for three and scored 120 for six in 43.4 overs when rain halted play. Mohammad Aftab’s unbeaten 38 off 79 balls with two fours was the highest score.

Two wickets were taken by Bilal Ahmed and Kashif Fareed of the Southern Punjab U19 Blues.

After being called in to bat against Central Punjab U19 Blues at the UBL Sports Complex, Sindh U19 Blues scored 125 for 2 in 30 overs. Afnan Khan returned unbeaten with 39 runs off 50 balls, which included two fours and two sixes.

Pool B fixtures:

After commencing play at the HPC Ground with a score of 94 for 7, Sindh U19 Whites declared their innings against Central Punjab U19 Whites at 144 for nine after 60.1 overs. Coming to play at number seven, Syed Tayyab Hussain hit an undefeated 52. Off 138 balls faced, he had one four during his innings.

Hassan Ali Jnr and Muneeb Wasif each took three wickets for Central Punjab U19 Whites.

Rain forced the cancellation of the final two matchups’ scheduled games for the day.
