Chris Gayle predicts T20 World Cup finalists:

West Indies hard hitter, Chris Gayle jumped on the bandwagon and predicted the teams he thinks will make it to the final of the most anticipated event of the year, the T20 World Cup.

While he was being interviewed by Dainik Jagran, Gayle said that he sees Australia and West Indies playing the final of the marquee event.

“I think there could be a final match between West Indies and Australia.”

Gayle further said that although it is very difficult with the West Indian captain being new, but the team has potential to be a threat for any side.

West Indies is yet to qualify for the Super 12 round of the World Cup. Also, the Windies will be playing with a team of youngsters this time. Keeping these facts in view, this statement by the West Indian batter took the cricketing world by surprise.

Fans were quick to comment on his bold predictions. Some were shocked not to see any of the gigantic sides like England, India, Pakistan or South Africa in his predictions, who are, so far, the strongest contenders for the coveted title.
