The schedule of SA20 was announced yesterday and a total of 33 matches will be played in this regard. The inaugural edition of the league will be start on 10th January and the tournament will culminate on February 10.

Six venues have been selected to stage the matches of the first edition of SA20 in which a total of six teams will participate.

The League commissioner Graeme Smith while releasing the schedule of the league said that he himself is upbeat to see global stars competing in a league.

“Releasing fixtures for the opening season is a milestone for us all at SA20. It’s all getting very real, we certainly can’t wait to watch the world’s best go head-to-head. Fans can look forward to the blockbuster schedule kicking off with the popular local derby between MI Cape Town and Paarl Royals on 10 January,” League Commissioner Graeme Smith said.

“Fans will be able to watch the best local and international T20 stars live in action at prime viewing times for the afternoon and evening matches. This is also an ideal broadcasting slot ensuring viewers around the world can also keep up with the enthralling entertainment,” he further added.

The league has also introduced wildcard picks which will allow each team to add an extra player to their line-ups. Many sources claim that Pakistan players are expected to feature in SA20 through these wildcard picks.

The upcoming SA20 tournament will feature the stars like Kagiso Rabada, Jos Buttler, Liam Livingstone and many more. Seeing these stars of the game playing will surely be a sight to behold.
