Pakistan Stays Alive in World T20 after defeating South Africa:
Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Pakistani Openers were ready to face Parnell but Mohammad Rizwan lost his wicket in the first over. Haris who was playing the 2nd T20I game of his career today and first in the world cup came out of Syllabus for South Africa. He played a wonderful Cameo for Pakistan and scored 28 on 11 balls. He played beautiful shots all over the ground.
Nortje dismissed him and Ngidi dismissed Babar Azam in the last over of Power Play. In the next over Shan Masood was dismissed by Nortje. Pakistan were at 43/4.
Nawaz and Iftikhar made crucial 52 runs in Partnership. Nawaz walked back to the pavilion after an LBW appeal by Shamsi but the ball had been edged first still he didn’t take a review.
After that, we witnessed a glorious Partnership of 82 runs between Shadab and Iftikhar. They smashed South African bowlers all over the park. After some brilliant hitting by Shadab Khan and Iftikhar, Nortje dismissed Shadab and Iftikhar was dismissed by Rabada.
Iftikhar Ahmed scored 51 on 35 balls with 3 fours and 2 Sixes. One of his sizes was the longest six of this World Cup hit by any batter.
Shadab khan Played brilliantly scoring 52 on 22 balls with 3 fours and 4 Sixes.Pakistan scored 185 runs with the loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.
South Africa needed 186 to win the game.Temba Bavuma and Quinton De Kock opened the innings for South Africa but Shaheen Shah Afridi dismissed de Kock on a golden duck in his first over. In his next over he got another important wicket from Rilee Rossouw. South Africa were at 16/2.Temba Bavuma was playing well but Shadab khan got his wicket on the first ball of his over.
In the same over he dismissed Aiden Markram. South Africa were at 69/4 when Rain interrupted the match.DLS Per Score was 84 after 9 overs and South Africa were 15 runs behind. After Rain Stopped match was reduced to 14 overs and South Africa needed 73 runs in 5 overs.Stubbs and Klassen came to the crease and played well against Shadab but Shaheen Afridi got another wicket at a crucial time and dismissed Klassen.
Naseem shah was so impressive in the next over as he made Stubbs struggle hit boundaries. Parnell was dismissed by Wasim Jr, Rabada ran himself out and Haris finally got a wicket he dismissed Nortje.
