Pakistan Shaheens Squads Revealed for CT 2025 Warm-Up Matches: In preparation for the highly anticipated ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced the squads for the Pakistan Shaheens, who will participate in a series of warm-up matches ahead of the main tournament. The ICC Champions Trophy, scheduled to take place from February 19 to March 9, will see Pakistan hosting the event, and the Shaheens are set to play a crucial role in fine-tuning the team’s preparations.

The Shaheens will feature in three warm-up matches, each led by a different captain and supported by a unique coaching setup. These matches are designed to provide valuable match practice and help the players acclimatize to the competitive environment before the main event kicks off.

Warm-Up Matches and Squads

  1. Pakistan Shaheens vs Afghanistan
    Date: February 14
    Venue: Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore
    Captain: Shadab Khan
    Coach-cum-Manager: Mansoor Amjad

The Shaheens will begin their warm-up campaign against Afghanistan in Lahore. Shadab Khan, a seasoned all-rounder, will lead the side, bringing his experience and leadership skills to the fore. The squad includes promising talents such as Hussain Talat, Jahandad Khan, and Mohammad Abbas Afridi, who will look to make a strong impression ahead of the tournament.

  1. Pakistan Shaheens vs South Africa
    Date: February 17
    Venue: National Stadium, Karachi
    Captain: Mohammad Huraira
    Coach-cum-Manager: Ijaz Ahmed Junior

On the same day, the Shaheens will face South Africa in Karachi under the leadership of Mohammad Huraira. The young captain will have the support of a balanced squad featuring players like Imam-ul-Haq, Qasim Akram, and Mehran Mumtaz. This match will be an excellent opportunity for the team to test their skills against a formidable opponent.

  1. Pakistan Shaheens vs Bangladesh
    Date: February 17
    Venue: ICC Academy, Dubai
    Captain: Mohammad Haris
    Coach-cum-Manager: Umar Gul

Simultaneously, another Shaheens squad will take on Bangladesh in Dubai. Mohammad Haris, known for his aggressive batting, will captain the side, while former Pakistan pacer Umar Gul will serve as the coach-cum-manager. The squad includes exciting players like Aamir Jamal, Usama Mir, and Sahibzada Farhan, who will aim to showcase their potential on the international stage.

Schedule of Warm-Up Matches

  • February 14: Pakistan Shaheens vs Afghanistan, Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore (1400-2130)
  • February 17: Pakistan Shaheens vs South Africa, National Stadium, Karachi (1400-2130)
  • February 17: Pakistan Shaheens vs Bangladesh, ICC Cricket Academy, Dubai (1400-2130)

In addition to these matches, a warm-up game between New Zealand and Afghanistan is scheduled for February 16 at the National Stadium in Karachi, adding to the excitement of the build-up to the ICC Champions Trophy.

The Shaheens squads feature a mix of experienced players and emerging talents, providing a platform for young cricketers to prove their mettle ahead of the main tournament.
