Pakistan vs India: Nawaz, Rizwan Star In Pakistan’s Thrilling Win Over India In Asia Cup

Pakistan won the thrilling Super 4 encounter against India because of a complete team effort. India and Pakistan met again in the Asia Cup 2022 today in the Super 4 stage. India had defeated Pakistan by five wickets earlier in the tournament. However, Pakistan responded with a 155-run victory over Hong Kong. India, on the other hand, won both of their matches and finished first in the group.

Pakistan was forced to modify their winning combination, with Mohammad Hasnain replacing Shahnawaz Dahani, while India made three changes to their starting XI.

India dominated Pakistan with the bat after scoring 62-1 in the powerplay. After being asked to bat first in the super 4 stages of the T20 Asia Cup 2022 here today, Indian openers Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul frightened Pakistani bowlers.

Rohit and Rahul put up a partnership of 54 runs when Rohit was dismissed by Haris Rauf off a slower delivery. But India didn’t stop scoring quickly. Rohit and Rahul led India to their quickest fifty against their arch-rival in T20I Cricket.

Shadab Khan struck on his first delivery for dismissing the dangerous-looking KL Rahul, who walked back to the dugout after hitting 28 from 20 balls. Shadab Khan’s first over yielded nine runs and a wicket.

After 10 overs, India was at 93-3. Mohammad Nawaz’s excellent spell ended, with figures of 1 for 25 from four overs. Shadab Khan took his second wicket of the game dismissing Rishabh Pant. Mohammad Hasnain dismissed Hardik Pandya, and Naseem Shah took the wicket of Deepak Hooda. Asif Ali made an excellent deep fielding effort, hitting the stumps directly to finish Virat Kohli’s innings. Fakhar Zaman’s poor fielding resulted in two fours on the final two balls of the innings. Pakistan set a total of 182 runs for victory.

Babar’s form still remained the same in Asia Cup and he was only able to score 14 runs. Ravi Bishnoi picked up the wicket of Babar in the 4th over. Fakhar came in to bat but his partnership with Rizwan couldn’t last long as he departed after making 15 runs, leaving Pakistan to 63-2. Nawaz was sent up the order and proved the team’s decision right. He scored 42 on 20 balls and secured the target with Rizwan.

The Man of The Match of the last match continued his form and scored 71 runs off 51 balls even though being injured while doing wicketkeeping. As soon as they both got out all fans skipped their heartbeat and Pakistan now had the 2 power hitters at the crease. Khushdil and Asif again didn’t leave a question on their selection. Asif scored 16 on 8 balls. After Khushdil’s dismissal, Ifthikar Ahmed scored the game-winning runs on the game’s final delivery.

When Arshdeep Singh failed to hold on to Asif Ali’s catch off of Ravi Bishnoi in the 18th over, the game took a significant turn for the worst. After that, he sealed the victory for Pakistan by smashing Bhuvneshwar Kumar for a six and a boundary in the 19th over of the match. However, Arshdeep was able to get rid of him when Pakistan needed only two more runs to win the game. Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Ravi, Hardik and Chahal all managed to get 1 wicket.
