KP and Balochistan Collect Important Points in National T20 Cup 2022:
The 11th match of the National T20 was played between Southern Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. As it was raining, the match was reduced to 5 overs. KP won the toss and elected to field first. Zain and Sharoon opened for Southern Punjab, and their partnership couldn’t last long as Sharoon was dismissed for 11 runs. Ilyas was promoted in the batting order. He was able to hit 1 six and 1 four and remained not out. As Zain got out, Imran Randhawa stepped in. However, he got run out for just 1. The KP bowlers remained disciplined and they restricted Southern Punjab to just 41/4 in 5 overs.
On the bowling side of Khyber, Arshad Iqbal and Imran Snr managed a wicket each.
When the KP batters came to bat, their youngsters, Muhammad Haris and Sahibzada Farhan, tried to hit big. Haris was dismissed after scoring 5 runs, whereas Sahibzada was only able to score 2 runs. Aamer Azmet handled his team further and scored the highest runs, 14 off 10 deliveries. Adil Amin remained not out, scoring 7 runs. KP managed to score 44/3 in 4.3 overs. On the other hand, Muhammad Illyas not only proved himself with the bat but also with the ball. Muhammad Illyas managed to take 2 wickets, whereas Sameen Gul took 1 wicket. This was KP’s 4th consecutive win in the National T20 Cup since 2022.

The second batter to display some resistance was Aamir Jamal, who had a 35-run total off 21 balls, but Northern could only muster 162 for 7.
Hussain Talat took three for 17 while Hussain’s partner pacer Khurram Shahzad took two for 28.
Balochistan reached 181 for three after being put to bat thanks to a strong half-century from Haseebullah at the top of the order and scorching innings from Shan Masood (45 not out at a strike rate of 155) and Haris Sohail (34 at a strike rate of 179).
For the first wicket, Haseebullah and Asad Shafiq (34 off 28) scored 62 runs in 8.4 overs. Young Haseebullah kept up the anchor role till Sohail Tanvir bowled him on the first ball of the 15th over. There were 109 in Balochistan at that time.
With a run rate of above 11, Shan and Haris used their experience to add 72 runs. Shan’s 29-ball innings featured six fours, and Haris’ 19-ball innings featured four fours and a six.
