Anushka Sharma with a Lovely Message for Virat Kohli:
After Virat Kohli’s sensational performance in the test match against Australia in Ahmedabad, Anushka Sharma had a special message for him.
Virat Kohli’s outclass century against Australia helped his team take a 91-run lead on Day 4. Kohli hit an outstanding 186 from 364 balls. He managed to register a test century after a wait of 1205 days.
After reaching the milepost, Kohli raised his bat continuing the legacy, then removed his helmet with a smile and dedicated the knock to his wife, Anushka Sharma, by kissing the wedding ring on his gold chain in relief.
The living legend received a standing ovation from the Ahmedabad crowd on his achievement. There was a break of 41 innings between his last century and this one, with the previous one coming over three years ago against Bangladesh in November 2019.
He now has eight Test Hundreds against Australia, the second most on the list, topped by Sachin Tendulkar, who has eleven.
Anushka Sharma shared a heartfelt message for Kohli, in which she mentioned that the Former-Indian Captain was ”playing through sickness”.
Despite losing partners at the other end, Kohli managed to score a truckload of runs.
Shreyas Iyer didn’t come out to bat which limited India to 571 after 178.5 overs in their first innings.
Kohli partnered with Axar Patel and in no time chipped down Australia’s lead. Axar had an inning of 79 from 113 balls. Axar and Kohli had a partnership of 162 runs. After Axar’s wicket, India suffered a bit, which ended with Kohli’s wicket on 186 and India having their lead extended to 91.
