Watch: Historic Celebrations As Thailand-W Beat Pakistan-W In Women’s Asia Cup

In the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, the Thailand women’s team enjoyed a historic day when they defeated Pakistan. Thailand defeated Pakistan by four wickets due to Natthakan Chantham’s outstanding performance with the bat, scoring 61 runs off just 51 balls. Nattaya Boochatham and Rosenan Kanoh ultimately succeeded in pushing Thailand over the finish line. Only 10 runs were required in the last over, but both batters held their nerves to chase down the 117-run target.

The entire Thailand team ran down to the field as soon as Boochatham scored the game-winning run. On Twitter, the Asian Cricket Council’s official account posted a video of the celebrations.

Pakistan chose to bat first in their encounter against Thailand, after winning the toss. Sidra Ameen led Pakistan’s scoring with 56 runs off 64 balls, contributing to their final score of 116/5.

Sornnarin Tippoch returned for Thailand with two wickets. Natthakan Chantham was Thailand’s ideal anchor during the pursuit of 117, and Boochatham and Kanoh ultimately added the closing touches. Thailand is now in fourth place and Pakistan is second in the Women’s Asia Cup standings.
