Sagar Khanna’s New York-based SKKY Group Acquire Colombo Franchise in LPL:

New York-based SKKY Group, owned by Sagar Khanna, has acquired ownership of the Colombo franchise in the Lanka Premier League (LPL) from 2023 onwards. Samantha Dodanwela, Tournament Director of the Lanka Premier League and Executive Committee Member of Sri Lanka Cricket welcomed SKKY Group to the LPL family and said that the interest shown by the entity would augur well for the league, which is growing firmly and aiming to be one of the best in the global T20 circle going forward. He also expressed his confidence that this partnership would be a feather in the cap for SKKY Group’s cricketing interests.

The LPL was launched in 2020, and its inaugural edition was won by the Jaffna Stallions. The league aims to be one of the best in the global T20 circle, and its growth has been rapid.
