Which International player will start his PSL 2023 journey when?
Pakistan’s premier cricket league, Pakistan Super League, is just a fortnight away and fans are impatiently waiting for the tournament to begin. The 6 teams tournament, which is slated to commence on 13th of February, will have huge names from across the World lighting up its stage.
Owing to a lot of cricket which will be taking place at the same time PSL is scheduled, a few international players will only be available for a few matches while a couple of them will even be unavailable for the whole tournament.
Alex Hales, Harry Brook, Adil Rashid, Jason Roy, Moeen Ali, Tim David, Jordan Cox, Wanindu Hasaranga, Rovman Powell, David Miller, Odean Smith, Akeal Hosein and Tabraiz Shamsi are among the players who have communicated their partial or full unavailability to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB)
Harry Brook is likely to miss the whole tournament owing to England’s series against South Africa and Bangladesh. Alex Hales, on the other hand, will start his journey in the event from 26th February onwards. Players including Moeen Ali, Adil Rashid and Jason Roy will leave the tournament from 26th February and may return, if their team makes it to the knockout stage, from 14th March.
The brilliant Sri Lankan tweaker, Wanindu Hasaranga, who will play for Quetta Gladiators is expected to opt out of the tournament on 3rd March, to fulfill his national duty against New Zealand.
Tim David, who plays for Multan Sultans, will join his franchise from 3rd March. The Sultans, however, are yet to announce the name of the player who will fill in for the Singapore-born.
Jordan Cox, the wicket-keeper batter who was roped in by Lahore Qalandars will be available for the franchise from 21st of February. Cox is currently busy touring Sri Lanka with England Lions due to which he has made himself partially unavailable for the eight edition of the PSL.
South African and West Indian players including David Miller, Rovmann Powell, Odean Smith, Akeal Hosein and Tabraiz Shamsi are likely to leave their respective franchises from 8th March for the white ball series against each other, which is slated to begin from 16th March.
