“There is a really positive atmosphere in the team camp”, says Alice Capsey ahead of the clash against Birmingham Phoenix :
Speaking to the press on Monday ahead of their last home fixture against Birmingham Phoenix at the Kia Oval, the Oval invincible All-rounder said that the upcoming game against Birmingham Phoenix is a big game as the Phoenix are unbeaten and that as a player you always look to be a part of these big games playing against the best teams of the competition and try to do well in these big games and win these games for your side.
She further stated that they love playing at the Kia Oval and that the energy of the crowd at the Oval is unmatched anywhere else, as it is always fantastic, and the atmosphere is electrifying, giving the players the energy to do something special for the crowd. She also said that hopefully a great crowd turns up to back them in their final home game, which she expects to be a great game, with hopefully the home side coming out on top in the end.

Talking about her brilliant ongoing form with the bat, the 18-year-old said that : “I just enjoy being part of whichever environment I play in and having the freedom to play my own game gives me confidence and I like to keep things simple for myself and always try to take the positive approach, in which I have been successful throughout with the backing of whichever team I have been a part of.”
Capsey further said : “Being the defending champions, it brings more excitement to the team and that the whole team is working towards the same goal which is to defend their title and to win the tournament the second year in a row”.
Birmingham Phoenix are currently placed top of the table having won 3 out of 3 games in the tournament, whereas the Oval Invincibles are currently placed fourth in the points table having won 2 out of their 3 games. A win tomorrow will further strengthen the top of the table position for the Phoenix, whereas a win for the Invincibles would mean a jump for them in the points table, making the defending champions position and standings in the tournament stronger.
