Shan Masood is to return to Derbyshire after not being selected for the Netherlands tour and Asia Cup:
Shan Masood, who has been in excellent form, will rejoin Derbyshire for the remaining games after being excluded from Pakistan’s white-ball sides.
After getting selected for the Sri Lanka tour as part of Pakistan’s Test squad, the top-order batter quit the Derbyshire campaign. Despite being in fantastic form, he warmed the bench in both games. Later this month, the Men in Green have three one-day internationals against the Netherlands and Asia Cup and the opener has yet again been ignored from the squad despite his terrific form which poses a big question on the selection criteria.

The left-hander, who was not selected for Pakistan’s limited-overs team, is now to go back to England and play in the remaining two months of the season.
On August 5, he will return to England, where he will be able to play in Derbyshire’s One-Day Cup match against Lancashire on Sunday.
Masood expressed his thankfulness to Derbyshire county and tweeted, “Thank you Derbyshire for being so patient and kind.”
