Rising Star Middle Order Batter Kashif Ali makes his First Class Debut for Worcestershire:
Rising star and middle order batsman Kashif Ali made his first class debut for Worcestershire Cricket Club in their game against Derbyshire on Monday.
The rising star has been in an incredible form which he continued on his first class debut as he smashed his maiden first class 50 in just his first first class- inning ending the day as the highest scorer of his side scoring 52 off 74 deliveries with 9 fours.
His brilliant innings and great bowling by the worcestershire bowlers put their side in a strong position on the end of Day 1 as they bundled Derbyshire for just 130 runs and are currently 141/5 leading by 11 runs in the first innings.
Kashif was the first product of the South Asian Cricket Academy to sign a professional contract with a first-class county earlier this season as he was signed signed by Derbyshire on a short term contract until the end of the 2022 season, after an impressive trial period for the Seconds. Kashif played for Rawalakot Hawks in the Kashmir Premier T20 League and played a major role in them lifting the trophy with 114 not out off 51 balls in the Eliminator and 54 off 29 in the final and has also been picked qgain for the second season of the league commencing in August.
Having three hundreds and four fifties in his last seven knocks for the seconds was a testament to his potential as he continued his great form with the bat and reached a 72-ball half-century in the first innings.
