IPL Owners set to own Teams in another T20 League:
Major League Cricket (MLC) is an upcoming professional T-20 cricket league in the USA. It is set to begin on July 13, 2023. The idea is to bring star cricket players to the US along with appreciating domestic players. The six teams will be Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, Seattle, and Washington, D.C. for the first season. And Indians particularly expressed much interest in the league.
Four IPL franchises have been reported of securing teams in the MLC. This also means that out of six teams in MLC, four are owned by IPL franchises. Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians, and Chennai Super Kings have bought teams in Los Angeles, New York, and Texas respectively. While Delhi Capitals have partnered with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella for Seattle.

The MLC confirmed the alliance between the Seattle franchise and Delhi Capitals in a press release on Thursday. The remaining two franchises are based in Washington DC and San Francisco. The franchise, Washington DC is owned by an American businessman, Sanjay Govil whereas San Francisco-based franchise is owned by Anand Rajaraman and Venky Harinarayan.
As per the MLC league rules, a minimum of six native players must be in the playing XI. Rest players can be international players.
