ICA Sports joins Houston Hurricanes as their digital media partner:
Houston Hurricanes, a Houston based T20 cricket franchise which plays the Minor league cricket in the United States, is all set to travel to Pakistan to play a 3-match T20 series against Quetta Gladiators at the National Bank Cricket Arena, Karachi. ICA Sports takes pride in announcing that it has successfully signed with the franchise as their digital media partner for the 3-day tour.
The dates slated for the matches are 29th, 30th and 31st January. Further, the matches will be played under the lights as each match is scheduled to begin at 7 PM PST. This historic tour will be the first time a United States based cricket franchise will travel to Pakistan to play. The franchise, which is owned by Tanweer Ahmed and Mangesh Chaudhari, has many players who have emigrated from Pakistan and other Asian countries. This means that the players will be well aware and familiar with the sub-continental conditions.
Players like Nauman Anwer, Shayan Jahangir, Lahiru Milantha, Shehan Jayasuriya, Nosthush Kenjige, Usman Rafiq, Mohammad Mohsin and Mathew Tromp will be the part of the traveling squad for the Hurricanes.
Also, the 3-match series will be a part of the Gladiators’ warm-up schedule before the eighth season of the Pakistan Super League starts on 13th February. It is to be noted here that the opening match of the PSL 8 will be played in Multan between the defending champions Lahore Qalandars and the runners up Multan Sultans while Quetta will play their first match on 15th of February.
