English WK batter all set to miss IPL 2023:
The English cricketer Jonny Bairstow is ready to miss the Indian Premier League 2023 that will start on March 31. What comes shocking for Indian Premier League and specifically Punjab Kings fans is that the star wicketkeeper batter is not playing for them anymore.
In September, Bairstow got hurt in a fracture accident on a golf course. Bairstow had successful surgery on his left leg and the insertion of a metal plate. And he has come a long way since then.
The English cricketer wants to prepare for the Ashes series instead of participating in the Indian Premier League 2023. According to reports, Bairstow wants to continue his journey with Yorkshire rather than franchise cricket.
England’s Test head coach, Brendon McCullum, has already mentioned that Bairstow will only return to his side when he has fully recovered, from the injury.
Bairstow has missed out on much till now including the World Cup win and different Test tours. The right-handed batter will soon make a comeback in the Ashes series to cheer up the fans with his thrilling performance.
