Babar, Rizwan inspire Pakistan to Historical Victory at National Stadium Karachi:
On September 22, 2022, at the National Stadium in Karachi, Pakistan defeated England by 10 wickets in the second T20I, making history in the process thanks to the leadership of captain Babar Azam and wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan. There are still five games left in this series.
In the first innings, England had scored 199/5, with skipper Moeen Ali leading the way with 55 (23), followed by Ben Duckett’s 43. (22). Shahnawaz Dahani took 2/37 while Haris Rauf took 2/30 for Pakistan.
With three balls left, Pakistan successfully chased the big total. Babar Azam, the captain, scored his second hundred in T20I Cricket, becoming the first Pakistani to do so. Rizwan scored 88(51)* while Babar finished with 110(66)*. For the first time, a total of 200 or more was chased down with 10 wickets remaining in T20I Cricket.
In fact, Rizwan and Babar Azam gave Pakistan a special performance. Babar Azam now holds the record for Pakistani captain with the most international hundreds. In T20I cricket, this was also Pakistan’s highest partnership for any wicket. Additionally, this was the fifth-highest partnership in T20I cricket history.

Today, Babar Azam scored his 8000th T20 run. Overtaking Virat Kohli, he achieved the feat more quickly than any other Asian batter.
