Another Rising star in making from the Land of Fast Bowlers:
In Pakistan Super League’s match 3, Ihsanullah proved to be the star of the show for the Multan Sultans as he led their bowling attack with an incredible performance, ending the game with figures of 5/12.
The match was against the Quetta Gladiators, and after winning the toss, the Sultans elected to bowl first. Right from the start, the Sultans’ pacers dominated the star-studded Gladiators batting lineup, with Sameen Gul providing the home side an early breakthrough in the second over by removing Martin Guptill with just 10 runs on the scoreboard.
The Gladiators began to lose wickets at an alarming rate, and Ihsanullah was the main architect behind their collapse. In his first three overs, he managed to take five wickets, leading the Sultans’ bowling attack with great skill and precision.
The Gladiators slipped from 33/1 to 68/8 in the span of just 52 deliveries before experienced batter Mohammad Hafeez, alongside Mohammad Hasnain, began the recovery. The pair added a vital 31 runs for the ninth-wicket stand before Hasnain perished in an attempt to hit back-to-back sixes. He scored 22 off 20 deliveries with the help of two boundaries and a six.
Throughout the match, Ihsanullah’s pace and accuracy made it difficult for the Gladiators’ batters to score runs. His impressive figures of 5/12 made him the clear standout performer of the game.

The Sultans went on to chase down the modest total of 111 with ease, securing a comfortable victory. Rossouw, with his match-winning 78 not out, stole the show with the bat, but it was Ihsanullah’s outstanding bowling performance that set up the victory for the Sultans.
Overall, Ihsanullah’s performance in the match showcased his bowling prowess and confirmed his status as one of the most promising young cricketers in Pakistan. His contribution was vital in the Sultans’ victory, and his teammates will no doubt be looking to him for similar performances in the upcoming matches of the PSL.
