Amir bashes Virat Kohli’s Critics after his hundred:
Virat Kohli, the living legend, played a magnificent 186-run knock against Australia in Ahmadabad Test. After a long wait, he finally hit his first Test century in over three years. Virat Kohli played a significant role in the match for his team.
Notably, it was after a wait of 1205 days that the Indian Cricketer reached the three-figure mark in the longest format of the game. The Former Indian Captain finished as the second-highest run scorer of the Border Gavaskar Trophy (BGT) 2023.
Following Virat’s comeback, doyen Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir blasted out for doubting the cricketer’s ability. Backing Virat, Amir said:
”Who are these people who are criticizing Kohli? I really don’t understand. At the end of the day, he is a human. It’s not like he has a remote and you press the button every day and you get a hundred and Kohli will win the match for India”.
The fast bowler further appreciated Virat for his achievement and added that whenever fans doubted Virat’s batting skills, he made a strong comeback. Moreover, Amir added his own experiences as well by saying:
”Every player goes through ups and downs. I know because there are certain days when I feel I am bowling well but I don’t pick any wickets. And then many a time it is like I bowl bizarrely, probably a full toss or down-the-leg delivery, and I get a wicket. You need luck as well. And you can never doubt Kohli for his hard work. He loves challenges. Every time he has been criticized, he has bounced back to prove them wrong.”
Amir also spoke about India’s chances of winning the World Test Championship (WTC) 2023 because India qualified for the final of WTC which is expected to begin on the 7 of June.
