England’s Unchanged Lineup for Must-Win 3rd T20I: England have named an unchanged XI for the crucial third T20 International (T20I) against India on Tuesday in Rajkot, a game that represents a must-win scenario for the visitors. After falling 2-0 behind in the five-match series, England’s hopes of a series comeback hinge on this upcoming match.

The team has decided to retain Brydon Carse, who made a significant impact in the second T20I. The bowling allrounder replaced Gus Atkinson for the game and made an instant impression with both bat and ball. Carse scored a rapid 31 runs and took three wickets, which helped keep England in contention despite a narrow two-wicket defeat. His all-around performance has earned him a spot in the starting XI for the crucial third match.

Coach Brendon McCullum has shown confidence in the squad, opting not to make any changes to the lineup. This continuity reflects England’s belief in the players’ potential to turn the series around, even after the setbacks of the first two matches. The team will look to bounce back strongly, with several key players in good form, including captain Jos Buttler and the in-form Harry Brook, who has been one of the standout performers in the series.

The third T20I will be a pivotal contest, with England desperate to keep their series hopes alive before the final two matches. The series is set to conclude on Sunday, and both teams are gearing up for the upcoming three One-Day Internationals (ODIs) as they continue their preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy, which kicks off on February 19.

England’s Line-Up for the Third T20I:

  • Jos Buttler (captain)
  • Phil Salt
  • Ben Duckett
  • Harry Brook
  • Liam Livingstone
  • Jamie Smith
  • Jamie Overton
  • Brydon Carse
  • Jofra Archer
  • Adil Rashid
  • Mark Wood

The T20I series so far has been a closely contested affair, and with both teams locked in preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy, the outcome of this series will be crucial for momentum. For England, this match represents more than just a series point—it’s a chance to restore confidence and build a winning rhythm ahead of a packed international calendar. With a talented squad ready for action, England will need to deliver their best performance to stay alive in the series and set the stage for the remaining fixtures.
