PSL better than IPL? PCB Chairman Najam Sethi makes big claims:
The eighth edition of Pakistan Super League 2023 has successfully, come to an end, with Lahore Qalandars emerging as the winner. The Qalandars defeated Multan Sultans by one run after a nail-biting contest at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Lahore Qalandar is the only team to win two consecutive editions of the Pakistan Super League.
On the other side, India and Pakistan are already going through tough times, as India has already decided not to come to Pakistan for the Asia Cup 2023 because of security issues. Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has already been arguing with the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) that if no other country is showing any security concerns then what’s the issue with the Indian cricket team? These few months have been a bumpy ride for both of the teams.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Najam Sethi has given a completely surprising statement about the viewership of the Pakistan Super League and Indian Premier League.
While speaking in a press conference recently, Najam Sethi claimed that Pakistan Super League had better digital ratings than Indian Premier League.
Najam Sethi was seen saying as quoted by News18: ”Let’s talk about digital. PSL was only at the half stage, so I asked about our digital rating. Najam Sethi’s show used to have a 0.5 rating on TV, whereas PSL is getting a rating of more than 11. So, it would be 18 or 20, when it completes,”

As he went on, he added: ”Over 150 million people watched it digitally. It is not a small thing. At the same stage, IPL’s digital rating was 130 million and PSL’s is more than 150 million. So this is a great success for Pakistan”.
