Rumman Raees fired up to deliver his best in PSL 2023:
Rumman Raees, the fiery left-arm pacer, needs no introduction in the Islamabad United squad. With his accurate yorkers and wicket-taking abilities, he has established himself as a vital cog in the team’s bowling unit. Rumman Raees, the pace bowler of Islamabad United, has expressed his desire to repay his team for their unwavering support during his difficult times. The 31-year-old pacer said in an exclusive interview that he wants to give his best and win every game.
“It was a very morale-boosting support for me. When a player gets such overwhelming encouragement from their team, it increases their confidence and adds to the passion they have to represent their team,” Raees said.
Expressing his enthusiasm, the fast bowler stated that he is feeling much better and is eagerly looking forward to showcasing his best performance in the ongoing eighth edition of PSL. With confidence in his heart, Raees asserted that his team is poised to win the coveted PSL title for a record third time.

“We are feeling confident as a team for good results. The environment is very positive and such positivity is very important because winning or losing a game is part of the sport, what matters the most is the dressing room environment,” he said.
In response to a query, Raees stated that his serene and composed manner of celebrating a wicket is a direct manifestation of his personality, as he tends to remain cool and collected in his daily life too.
“It is very important to stay calm because if you’re calm then it improves your decision-making ability,” said the pacer when asked about his celebration style which is opposite to how most of the fast bowlers celebrate after claiming wickets and that’s what makes him unique and fan favourite.
Islamad United will take on Peshawar Zalmi on 23 February at 7:00pm.
