Imad and Amir have something against Babar: Claims Ahmed Shahzad

Ahmed Shehzad, the opening batter has finally quashed rumors of a rift between Imad Wasim, Muhammad Amir, and Babar Azam . In his recent appearance on a national sports daily, he confessed that there might be resentment held by Karachi Kings’ Imad and Amir against Peshawar Zalmi’s captain, Babar, and there is a possibility that tensions may be seen on the field.

Shehzad, who is known for being plain-spoken, made a shocking revelation regarding the rivalry between Muhammad Amir and Imad Wasim against Babar Azam. He emphasizes that these kinds of conflicts are mostly created by franchises to get some hype, but he considers it to be more than a mere show play. He believes that some of the remarks made have been blunt and justified. As he says, “Some things are there in players’ hearts which come out slowly, and we might see them play out on the field.”

The recent match between Peshawar Zalmi and Karachi Kings gave us an insight into ongoing tensions among the players. After Babar Azam’s awe-inspiring 68-run chase on 46 balls, followed by Amir’s desperate ball throw toward Babar, some unfortunate moments were seen on the ground.

Despite Muhammad Amir’s statement before the match that his prime focus is taking wickets regardless of whom he is bowling to, his actions on the field suggest otherwise. This incident sparked intense reactions from the cricket fraternity and fans alike.

However, the question remains whether this rift is good or bad for the overall sport. Though it adds to the excitement of the sport, it can also create a toxic environment, affecting players’ performances.

Time will let us know whether these conflicts will come out as a blessing or a curse. But one thing is for sure, the upcoming matches will be happening and thrilling, letting cricket enthusiasts witness exciting on-field confrontations.

In a nutshell, rivalries among sportsmen should be channeled positively to bring out the best in players. But if exacerbated, it can be damaging to the spirit of the sport. Moreover, it highlights the need to rise above personal differences and emphasizes the significance of respect and sportsmanship. Let’s hope this rift will only add to their passion for the game and help them rise to the heights of success.
