New Zealand qualify for Semi Final after win against Ireland

New Zealand qualify for Semi Final after win against Ireland:

Ireland won the toss and decided to bowl first. Finn Allen and Devon Conway opened the innings for New Zealand. The first wicket fell on 52 runs as Adair dismissed Finn Allen. Conway was dismissed by Delany in the 12th over, and his struggling inning came to an end. New Zealand were 96/2.

Glenn Philips scored some quick 17 runs on 9 balls and then Delany sent him back to the pavilion.

Skipper Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell shared 60 runs in a partnership. Joshua Little created history by dismissing Williamson, Neesham, and Santner. He picked up the 2nd Hat-Trick of this year’s World T20 2022.

Josh Little joined Brett Lee, Curtis Campher, Wanindu Hasaranga, Kagiso Rabada, and Karthik Meiyappan as the sixth bowler to record a men’s T20 World Cup hat-trick.

Kane Williamson played a wonderful knock of 61 runs on 35 balls with 5 fours and 3 sixes. Ireland needed 186 runs to win.

Paul Stirling and Andy Balbirnie opened the innings for Ireland. The first wicket fell on 68 runs, and Santner dismissed Balbirnie. In the next over Stirling got out by Ish Sodhi. Harry Tector was soon dismissed by Santner.

Sodhi dismissed Tucker and Delany and Dockrell were sent back to the pavilion by Ferguson.

Ireland managed to score 150/9 in 20 overs and New Zealand won the match by 35 runs.Lockie Ferguson got 3 wickets in 4 overs with an economy of 5.50.

Kane Williamson was named player of the match for his brilliant performance. New Zealand stands on top of the points table with 7 points now.
