Central Punjab beat Sindh by 7 wickets to win the Women U19 T20 Tournament:
At the Lahore Country Club, Central Punjab chased down 109 with 4 balls remaining to win the championship. In her 66-ball innings, Eyman hammered 12 fours and two sixes. She and captain Shawal Zulfiqar scored 32 runs for the first wicket together, and she and Warda Yousaf scored 49 runs for the second wicket.
Eyman is placed second overall in the competition with 171 runs scored at 85.50 average , one run less than her captain Shawal, who topped the run scorers tables with 172 runs (86 average). Two batters from Central Punjab, Warda Yousaf, and one from Sindh, Aroob Shah, were among the four batters in the competition to score half centuries.
After being given the bat, Sindh reached a score of 108/8. Prior to being run out , Aroob led her side from the front with 45 off 28 with eightWomenn fours. Anoosha Nasir made 21 off 25.
Quratulain and Laiba Nasir from Central Punjab respectively returned with figures of 2/14 and 2/22. Quratulain and Aroob were the top two wicket-takers in the competition.
Aroob’s all round performances earned her the title of the player of the tournament. All of Central Punjab players who excelled in the competition won their respective awards: Shawal for best batter, Quratulain for best bowler, Eyman for best fielder, and Zamina Tahir for best wicketkeeper.
