Haseeb-ur-Rehman bags 16 as Sindh U19 whites outclass Balochistan U19 whites by 10 wickets:
On Friday, in the third round of the National U19 Championship, the right-arm off-spinner Haseeb-ur-Rehman of Sindh U19 Whites took 16 wickets to help his team defeat Balochistan U19 Whites by 10 wickets.
At the UBL Sports Complex in Karachi, Balochistan U19 Whites were bowled out for 166 in the 61st over after starting their second innings at 27-1 from the night before. Mohammad Aqdas with the help of 10 fours had the most runs scoring 71 off 159.
Haseeb-ur-Rehman, a right-handed off-spinner, played his first match of the tournament for Sindh U19 Whites and took nine wickets for 79 runs in 25.5 overs. The spinner had captured seven wickets in the first innings. His final match figures were 43.2-8-122-16.
The Sindh U19 Whites achieved the target of 9 runs without losing a wicket in the fourth over winning the game comfortably.
Pool A fixtures:
Sindh U19 Blues beat Balochistan U19 Blues by an innings and 115 runs at the TMC Ground. Right-handed Habibullah scored 168 runs, and left-arm spinner Ziaullah took five wickets in each innings. Sindh U19 Blues started the second day of their first innings with a score of 96-1. After 59 overs, they had scored 325-6, ending their first innings. Habibullah’s 168-run innings was made up of 13 fours and 10 sixes. It took 172 balls and he scored 168 runs.
Balochistan U19 Blues were out for 37 runs in the 34th over, leaving them behind by 152 runs. Ziaullah, a left-handed spin bowler, took five wickets for 11 runs and had the final match figures of 10 for 58.
Northern U19 Blues and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa U19 Blues played a tie game at the HPC Ground. Northern U19 Blues scored 311 for 7 in 83 overs after starting their first innings with 90 runs and no wicket. Aseer Mughal (74 runs, 105 balls, 7 fours, 1 six), Saad Masood (70 runs, 135 balls, 6 fours), and Shamyl Hussain (55 runs, 98 balls, 6 fours) all hit half-centuries for the batting side.
Hilal Ahmed and Mohammad Shoaib each took three wickets for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa U19 Blues.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa U19 Blues had 94 runs with no wickets lost after 15 overs. Mohammad Farooq scored 58 runs in 52 balls, hitting six fours and three sixes. He didn’t lose a game.
In another game that ended in a tie, Southern Punjab U19 Blues faced Central Punjab U19 Blues scoring 129 for 7 in their second innings at the KCCA Ground. Sharjeel Hasan got the highest score with 62 runs off of 98 balls. He hit three fours and one six.
Ali Asfand, Ali Raza, and Arham Nawab from the Central Punjab Blues, each took 2 wickets. When Central Punjab started their first innings again in the morning, they were 38-2 after 16 overs. In the 48th over, they were bowled out for 108. Bilal Ahmed from Southern Punjab was the best bowler with 5 for 40. In 12.4 overs, Mohammad Shan took four wickets for 34 runs.
Pool B fixtures:
At the Rashid Latif Cricket Academy Ground, a game between Central Punjab U19 Whites and Southern Punjab U19 Whites ended in a tie. Southern Punjab U19 Whites started the second day of their first innings with a score of 36-1. They scored 316-7 in 83 overs. Both Haseeb Nazim and Uzair Mumtaz got fifty runs.
Hasan Ali Jnr took 4 wickets for 115 runs, and Mohammad Ibtisam took 2 wickets for 49 runs for Central Punjab U19 Whites.
When it was their turn to bat, Central Punjab U19 Whites were 41-1 after six overs. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa U19 Whites and Northern U19 Whites played a tie game at the NBP Sports Complex. Northern U19 Whites resumed their first innings with a score of 167 for 8 after 79 overs. They went on to score 183 for 9 in 83 overs. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa U19 Whites’ first innings ended with 185 for 9 after 57.4 overs.
Shahzaib Khan scored the most runs being unbeaten on 75 from 173 balls with nine fours. Abdul Basit and Mohammad Nabeel each took 3 wickets for Northern Whites. In response, Northern U19 Whites had scored 12 runs without losing a wicket when stumps were called.
At the end of the third round, Pool A is led by Sindh U19 Blues, who have 11 points. With 13 points, Northern U19 Whites are in first place in Pool B. On August 15, the fourth round will start.
