Pakistan to Host Sri Lanka & England for T20Is, ODIs & Tests: Pakistan is set for a busy international home season as the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) prepares to welcome Sri Lanka and England for a series of bilateral matches and a three-team ODI competition between October and November.
The international action will begin in October, with Sri Lanka scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on 4 October. Their tour will open with a three-match T20I series in Rawalpindi, before England join Pakistan and Sri Lanka for a seven-match ODI tri-series.
Sri Lanka to Begin Tour with T20I Series
Sri Lanka’s opening assignment will be a three-match T20I series against Pakistan at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The first T20I is scheduled for 9 October, followed by the second match on 11 October and the final game on 13 October.
After the limited-overs leg, Sri Lanka will return to action in November for a three-day fixture in Islamabad from 4 to 6 November.
The tour will then conclude with a two-Test series against Pakistan, forming part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27.
The opening Test will take place in Rawalpindi from 9 to 13 November, while the second Test is scheduled at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium from 17 to 21 November.
England Join Pakistan and Sri Lanka for ODI Tri-Series
England will arrive in Pakistan for an ODI tri-series involving the hosts and Sri Lanka. The tournament will feature seven matches, including the final, with games split between Rawalpindi and Lahore.
Pakistan will begin their campaign against Sri Lanka in Rawalpindi on 18 October. Two days later, the hosts will face England at the same venue.
The third match will see Sri Lanka take on England on 22 October before the tournament moves to Lahore.
Pakistan and England will meet again on 25 October at Gaddafi Stadium, followed by Pakistan’s clash with Sri Lanka on 27 October.
Sri Lanka and England will then complete the league stage on 29 October, with the top two teams advancing to the final on 31 October in Lahore.
Another Tri-Series Before Major International Assignments
The ODI competition will mark another tri-series hosted by Pakistan in consecutive years.
Pakistan previously staged an ODI tri-series featuring New Zealand and South Africa in February 2025 ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy.
The upcoming tournament will provide all three teams with valuable 50-over cricket and an opportunity to assess their squads in international conditions.
Pakistan’s Second WTC Home Series
The Test series against Sri Lanka will also be significant for Pakistan’s World Test Championship campaign.
It will be Pakistan’s second home Test series of the 2025-27 WTC cycle. South Africa were the first visiting side in this cycle, playing a two-Test series in Pakistan last year.
With the Rawalpindi and Lahore Tests scheduled just days apart, both teams will face a demanding finish to the tour.
