PAK vs AUS T20Is: Dates, Squads and Match Timings | Pakistan and Australia are set to compete in a three-match T20 International series at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, scheduled for 29 January, 31 January, and 1 February. The series marks Australia’s return to Pakistan following their visit for the ICC Champions Trophy in 2025.
Each match will begin at 4:00 pm PKT, while the toss will take place half an hour earlier at 3:30 pm. The Australian team, consisting of 17 players, landed in Pakistan on Wednesday under the leadership of Mitchell Marsh.
This tour will be the first experience of Pakistan for Jack Edwards, Josh Philippe, Mahli Beardman, Matthew Kuhnemann, and Xavier Bartlett. Among them, Beardman and Edwards are yet to make their international debut.
Pakistan’s 16-player squad assembled in Lahore on 25 January and has since been involved in intense training sessions. To fine-tune their preparations, the team also played a practice T20 match earlier this week.
The return of senior players Babar Azam and Shaheen Shah Afridi has strengthened the Pakistan side. Babar continues to lead the charts as the highest run-scorer in T20 internationals, while Shaheen stands as one of Pakistan’s top wicket-takers in the format.
In T20 internationals, the two teams have met 28 times, with Pakistan winning 12 matches and Australia securing 14 victories, including a win in Lahore in 2022.
Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha said the team is confident after strong preparation and stressed the importance of smart cricket and teamwork. Australian skipper Mitchell Marsh shared his excitement about playing in Pakistan, describing the series as valuable preparation for upcoming global events and praising Pakistan’s fast-bowling strength.
