The Afghanistan Cricket Board, however, recently communicated its inability to take part, paving the way for Zimbabwe’s inclusion.

The tri-series will kick off in Rawalpindi with a high-voltage opener between the home side, Pakistan, and Zimbabwe on November 17. Zimbabwe will then return to the same ground two days later to face the island nation, Sri Lanka.
Following these two initial clashes, the entire tournament will move to the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore for its remainder. The Lahore leg features a round-robin format where each team plays the others, building up to the grand final on November 29. The schedule for Lahore is as follows:

- November 25: Sri Lanka vs Zimbabwe
- November 27: Pakistan vs Sri Lanka
The top two teams from these league matches will then advance to compete for the trophy in the final on November 29.
