The Hundred 2025: Full Schedule & New Signings: The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has announced the schedule for The Hundred 2025, and it’s packed with exciting matchups and new developments. The fifth edition of this action-packed T20 league will run from August 5th to 31st, featuring 34 matches across both men’s and women’s competitions.
Defending Champions Kick Off the Tournament
On the opening day, we will see a clash of the titans as defending champions London Spirit (women’s) and Oval Invincibles (men’s) begin their title defense. The Invincibles’ Sam Billings is already relishing the prospect of a sold-out London derby at Lord’s to start the season.
New Signing Rules Shake Things Up
This year marks a significant change with the introduction of direct signings. Teams can now secure one foreign player before the February 24th deadline. South Africa’s Laura Wolvaardt joins Southern Brave, while New Zealand’s Amelia Kerr heads to Manchester Originals, marking the first direct signings in the league’s history.
Star Players Return
Fans can look forward to seeing some of their favorite cricketers back in action. Big names like Jos Buttler, Harry Brook, Liam Livingstone, Tymal Mills, Charlie Dean, Marizanne Kapp, Nat Sciver-Brunt, and Hayley Matthews have all been retained by their teams.
Charlie Dean, who triumphed with London Spirit last year, praised the tournament’s growth and family-friendly atmosphere. The fast-paced format, high-quality cricket, and enthusiastic crowds make The Hundred a unique and engaging experience.
