14-Year-Old Vaibhav Suryavanshi Makes History as Youngest IPL Centurion: In a jaw-dropping performance that has taken the cricketing world by storm, 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi has etched his name in the record books by becoming the youngest player ever to score a century in the Indian Premier League (IPL). The young prodigy achieved this historic feat during the IPL 2025 clash between the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Gujarat Titans (GT) at Jaipur’s Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

A Record-Breaking Innings

Suryavanshi, who had already made headlines earlier in the tournament as the youngest half-centurion in IPL history, went a step further by smashing a breathtaking 101 off just 38 balls. His innings, studded with seven fours and 11 towering sixes, left fans and experts in awe. The teenager reached his century in just 35 deliveries, making him the fastest Indian to achieve a ton in IPL history—surpassing Yusuf Pathan’s previous record of 37 balls.

The defining moment came when he launched a massive six off Rashid Khan, one of the world’s best T20 bowlers, to bring up his hundred. His fearless approach and clean striking against an experienced bowling attack showcased a maturity beyond his years.

Breaking Multiple Records

With this innings, Suryavanshi shattered several records:

  • Youngest IPL Centurion (14 years, 32 days) – Broke Manish Pandey’s record (19y 253d).
  • Youngest T20 Centurion Ever – Surpassed Vijay Zol’s previous record (18y 118d).
  • Fastest Indian to an IPL Century (35 balls) – Broke Yusuf Pathan’s 37-ball record.

He now stands alongside legends like Chris Gayle (fastest IPL century, 30 balls) and Manish Pandey (previously the youngest Indian centurion in IPL) in the record books.

A Star in the Making

Suryavanshi’s fearless batting has drawn comparisons to some of the game’s greatest power hitters. His ability to dominate world-class bowlers at such a young age has sparked excitement about his future in Indian cricket. Experts believe that with proper guidance, he could become a mainstay in the national team in the years to come.

What’s Next for the Teen Sensation?

With this record-breaking performance, expectations will be sky-high for the young batter. The cricketing world will be watching closely to see if he can maintain this form and continue rewriting history.

For now, Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s name will be remembered as the boy who stunned the IPL at just 14—a feat that may never be surpassed.
